I thought you would enjoy this meditation by a friend from church, Lori Braswell:
No matter what…..those 3 words we use quite often in our day-to-day lives.
I looked up the meaning of the phrase and found several different ones:
RegardlessDespite everythingLeaving asideWithout considering
During a bible study class Wednesday night we discussed how we would have accepted Jesus in the flesh. Would I have believed in Him? Would I have followed Him? Would I have known I was in the presence of the Messiah? Or would I have mocked Him? Scoffed at Him? Called Him names and challenged Him?
The beauty of my Savior is that it doesn’t matter one iota to Him which one of those things I would have done whether I loved and believed in Him or called for His blood to be spilled. He loves me anyway.
No matter what…
In my life many faults and downfalls have and will occur and the true measure of who I am is how I react to those moments and who I turn to.
Tragedies occur and in the midst of the storm there is a safe place, a place where I feel truly loved and that is in Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior.
Every time I sin and ask for forgiveness it is granted by the thorns in His crown, by the nails in His wrist, by the sweat from His brow.
I am forgiven…..no matter what….
There is nothing like His love — it’s like nothing in life that I’ve ever known.
Just think about it. No matter what — He loves us anyway.
Of all the Fruits of the Spirit love is by far my favorite. I thought maybe it was because I never really felt love in my childhood but then abandoned that idea since I never really felt any of them growing up. Trust me, there was very little patience in my parents and definitely no peace or joy.
I think the reason love is so important to me is because it is felt so deeply and, until Jesus entered my heart, I believed it could be snatched away at any moment.
But not His love…..His love is the one constant in life I can always count on…..no matter what.
Romans 8:38-39 reads: For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Jesus Christ our Lord.
No matter what.
